Time to remember MEGHA, a great devotee of Baba. All Sai Devotees know about Megha and how he was fully devoted to Baba and how much Baba loved him in return.
This great Devotee, MEGHA, attained 'sadgathi' at Shirdi, on 19th Jan 1912 (at 4am) in the morning. So it is now exactly 100 years since he left his mortal coil, which was fully in the service of Baba in his final years.
3 days prior to this, when Megha did his usual Arti to Baba, Baba mentioned to the assembled, that this was Megha's Final Arti to him, thereby foretelling his coming death.And again during Evening Arti (by Jog, as Megha was very ill)) on 18th Jan, Baba specifically mentioned about Megha's departure. Baba's word,as usual, came true and Megha breathed his last in the early morning of 19 th Jan 1912!!
Baba, loudly lamented his death and his voice was so touching that brought tears to every eye. Megha's Body was touched by Baba on the Head, Heart, Shoulders & Feet.Megha's body was consigned to flames ouside the village, under the Bada Tree.
From distance, Baba was waving His hands and swaying as if in Arti, to say Goodbye.
For a great 'Bhakta' like Megha who did Baba's Aarti in Dwarakmai & Chavadi for years, this was really a symbolic & touching gesture by Baba, remembering his services to Him in the Past.
So, Sai Devotees, let us remember Megha on this day, Salute him and try to emulate him in our daily worship to Baba.
